$3 Billion in Free Advertising Goes to Big Pharma

In January 2021, the Department of Health and Human Services9 announced $22 billion to support expanded testing and vaccine distribution. In March 2021, the White House announced10 they would spend another $10 billion to expand access to vaccines and “build confidence” in them in designated areas.

Twelve days later, April 6, 2021, the CDC announced11 they would again dip into taxpayer money through Washington’s Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act to spend $3 billion to support an “ad campaign to combat vaccine hesitancy.”12

For decades, a so-called anti-propaganda law prevented the U.S. government’s mammoth broadcasting arm from delivering programming to American audiences. But on July 2, 2013 that came silently to an end with the implementation of a new reform passed in January. The result: an unleashing of thousands of hours per week of government-funded radio and TV programs for domestic U.S. consumption in a reform initially criticized as a green light for U.S. domestic propaganda efforts. So what just happened?

The restriction of these broadcasts was due to the Smith-Mundt Act, a long-standing piece of legislation that has been amended numerous times over the years, perhaps most consequentially by Arkansas Senator J. William Fulbright. In the 1970s, Fulbright was no friend of VOA and Radio Free Europe, and moved to restrict them from domestic distribution, saying they "should be given the opportunity to take their rightful place in the graveyard of Cold War relics." Fulbright’s amendment to Smith-Mundt was bolstered in 1985 by Nebraska Senator Edward Zorinsky, who argued that such "propaganda" should be kept out of America as to distinguish the U.S. "from the Soviet Union where domestic propaganda is a principal government activity."

Many of us who have decided not to get a COVID-19 vaccine, or any vaccines, are extremely concerned about conflicts of interest. All government agencies involved with vaccine development and approval have significant ties, either directly or indirectly, to the vaccine makers and/or their employees. There are other conflicts as well.

Take the CDC’s foundation, for example. The National Foundation for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention states on its tax return: "The CDC Foundation helps the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) do more, faster by forging effective partnerships between CDC and others to fight threats to health and safety."  In fiscal year 2020, according to its tax return, the foundation reported $319,202,905.00 in revenue.

There are other interesting items in the tax return. For example, in the supplemental information section, the CDC Foundation reports activating "…its emergency response fund to support the CDC’s relief and recovery efforts in response to the novel coronavirus…" The foundation reports providing $172 million in funding in support for COVID-19-related activities.[1]

The CDC Foundation list of corporate partners is 15 pages single-space pages and includes a long list drug companies and vaccine makers, as well as media companies, big tech companies, hotel chains, cruise lines, and retail chains. Abbott Laboratories, Amgen, AstraZeneca, Baxter, Bayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Eli Lilly, Genentech, Gilead, Janssen, Johnson and Johnson, Merck, Novartis, Pfizer, Roche Labs, Sanofi-Pasteur, Schering Plough, and Wyeth are a few of the drug makers listed.[2]

Foundation Partners is another 10-page, single-space list and includes the Amazon Smile Foundation, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Bloomberg Philanthropies, and the Burroughs Wellcome Fund; along with foundations established by the drug companies and others listed on the corporate partners list.[3]

Organization Partners constitutes another 18-page list, which includes professional associations like the American Academy of Pediatrics; disease groups like the American Cancer Society; insurance companies; universities and research institutions; hospitals; government agencies like the County of San Diego, The Department of the Treasury, and the National Institutes of Health; school districts; foreign governments; The China Medical Board of New York and The Chinese Culture and Community Service Center; The Seoul Medical Science Institute; the Sabin Vaccine Institute; The United Nations Development Programme; The United States Army; the Wuhan Institute of Biological Products; Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health; and The US Food and Drug Administration.[4]

It’s hard to know where to start in commenting on this tangled web of associations. Drug and vaccine makers contribute to the CDC Foundation in numerous ways – directly through donations and again through their foundations; and indirectly through the billions of dollars in fees paid to the FDA annually for product reviews - the FDA then donates to the CDC Foundation.

Taxpayers fund the foundation in many ways by paying taxes for local school systems, many of which remit money to the CDC Foundation while complaining about inadequate funding for their core mission – to teach kids; the IRS collects taxes and remits donations to the CDC; and the National Institutes of Health, which funds the CDC Foundation. The close ties to tech companies that are currently censoring anyone and any group that criticizes the U.S. COVID response, and vaccine program and COVID vaccines is concerning. Contributions from large retail chains that have been enforcers of COVID polices like masks and are now aggressively promoting vaccines – concerning! And the influence of foreign corporations, organizations and governments is extremely concerning. I’m willing to bet that most people do not know about these complex relationships, and would at least question what they are told by the CDC if they did know.

One of the largest donors to the CDC Foundation is the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), which according to the tax return referenced above, donated $30 million in 2014 alone.[5] The influence that the BMGF has on other U.S. public health agencies also raises eyebrows. In October 2014, Frances Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, announced a "New Phase of Cooperation Between NIH and the BMGF." The purpose of this partnership, which was the outcome of a planning session between the two organizations, was to promote, among other things, vaccines.[6]

The NIH and BMGF began their working relationship when the Grand Challenges in Global Health was instituted, which is funded, in part, by the BMGF,[7] and the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health.[8] Grand Challenges began by focusing on 14 major challenges that could, if solved, improve health in the developing world, six of which are related to vaccines.[9] By 2014, the Foundation had given Grand Challenges one billion dollars,[10] and in 2019, nine out of 25 awarded grants were for vaccine-related projects.[11]

The Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH) creates public-private partnerships to fight against disease in the U.S. and throughout the world, funding research, sponsoring educational events and symposia, and training researchers.[12] Major donors include numerous drug companies and the BMGF. In 2017 tens of millions of dollars were donated by drug companies and the BMGF.[13]

In April 2020, the NIH announced a public-private partnership called Accelerating COVID-19 Therapeutic Interventions and Vaccines. The partnership included 16 drug companies and is to be orchestrated and directed by the FNIH.[14]

The National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease is a branch of the National Institutes of Health, and Anthony Fauci has been director since 1984. The Vaccine Research Center conducts research and assists in the development of vaccines and has received funding from the BMGF.[15]

By now, if you are like most people, you’re having trouble keeping track of all of these relationships and connections and conflicts. And this is only the tip of the iceberg – one of the longest chapters in my book COVID Operation covers this topic in even more detail. I can’t fathom how any of the people or organizations involved in this mess can claim that their recommendations concerning anything – including vaccines – can be considered independent and free of conflict. The fact that this goes on is appalling enough. We have a right to expect that government agencies and institutions should be independent and that their most important job is to serve the public. What makes it more appalling is that this information is not openly disclosed and also that we have to listen to industry-funded drivel and tolerate criticism for not following guidelines which are bought and paid for by drug companies.

I can only speak for myself, but I will not consider any vaccinations until the agencies involved in promoting them and their employees, are completely disconnected from the types of entanglements described in this article and in recent newsletters.

CDC narrows monitoring of breakthrough COVID-19 cases

The CDC changed how it tracks breakthrough COVID-19** cases among fully vaccinated Americans this month, spurring concerns from scientists about the potential for inadequate data, reports Bloomberg.

**People who are fully vaccinated will still get COVID-19 if they are exposed to the virus that causes it. These are called “vaccine breakthrough cases.” This means that while people who have been vaccinated are much less likely to get sick, it may still happen. 

The agency switched from monitoring all reported breakthrough cases to only ones that result in hospitalization or death as of May 1, Tom Clark, MD, head of the vaccine evaluation unit for the CDC’s vaccine task force, told Bloomberg. The CDC's goal is to improve the quality of data collected for severe cases that have the greatest clinical and public health importance.

DYI:  Providing less data is an improvement?? How bout hiding those pesky adverse reactions to this experimental gene therapy drug masquerading as a vaccine.  Only report hospitalization or deaths, if the CDC didn’t, would create a scandal along with possible lawsuits as well.  What’s Her Face – [That’s her handle on YouTube] – regarding this CDC statistical shell game.     

Some scientists have said the change may mean missing out on data needed to understand why and how breakthrough cases happen. 

"We shouldn't be narrowing the focus, we should be broadening and develop a systematic plan," Eric Topol, director of the Scripps Research Translational Institute in La Jolla, Calif., told Bloomberg.

The CDC opted to change its strategy after finding few concerning patterns in the current data, Dr. Clark said. He added that the agency is also planning future vaccine research to compare disease severity and the frequency of variant infections among vaccinated and unvaccinated participants. 

As of April 26, there have been 9,245 reports of breakthrough cases among more than 95 million Americans vaccinated, according to the CDC.

   • In an April 29, 2021, opinion piece published by Newsday,1 Arthur Caplan and Dorit Reiss, Ph.D., argue for the implementation of vaccine passports as a strategy to regain our freedom to travel and the “safe” reopening of schools and businesses.

   
   

Part of their argument is that vaccinations have “always” been “necessary for travel,” which is patently false. Proof of vaccination requirements are rare, and strictly limited to travel to certain destinations where the risk of contracting a disease and bringing it back to a population with nonexistent immunity against it is high. You’ve never had to show proof of vaccination when flying to Paris, France, for example.

Arguing for Unconstitutional Practices

Caplan and Reiss also argue that prohibiting businesses from requiring vaccine passports, which some state governors are now doing, is “unusual and irrational,” as private businesses have the right to make their business more attractive by increasing the safety for its staff and patrons.

The problem with that argument is that it is the government’s job to protect the Constitutional rights of all Americans. Allowing or encouraging businesses to create a two-tier society where unvaccinated people are barred from participating in civic society is unconstitutional on its face.

What’s more, proof of vaccination against COVID-19 will not ensure safety. It won’t even remotely promote it, as the so-called vaccines are designed to merely reduce symptoms of the infection. They don’t make you immune. You can still contract the virus and spread it to others. The only one who might benefit from the jab is the one getting it.

Of course, Caplan and Reiss make no mention of this crucial point, but since the vaccinated person is the only one getting any protection, no one needs to know your vaccination status, as it doesn’t affect them either way. A COVID-19 vaccinated individual poses the same risk to the community as an unvaccinated one.

So, the only reason for a vaccine passport is a control-related one, and Reiss and Caplan are keeping busy, trying to convince you otherwise. In a February 2021 Barron’s article,4 they argued for letting employers mandate vaccines for their employees, using the same lame arguments.

What’s happening here is that the U.S. federal government recognizes that it cannot legally mandate vaccine passports.

 It would be unconstitutional, as it would create a two-tier society built on medical discrimination. 

So, government is depending on private businesses to push through this measure. 

Reiss and Caplan’s efforts are part of this strategic subversion of Constitutional rights.

The latest data on COVID-19 vaccine side effects suggest governments are already operating under this horrific utilitarian ideology.

How else do you explain the fact that the European Union’s vaccine injury reporting system had logged 330,218 adverse event reports, including 7,766 deaths, as of April 17, 2021,8 and the U.S. reporting system had logged 118,902 adverse event reports as of April 23, including 3,544 deaths and 12,618 serious injuries,9 yet all of these injuries and deaths are simply ignored and the call for everyone to get their jab continues unabated — all while bashing vaccine hesitancy as a mental illness, intellectual deficit or act of domestic terrorism?!

DYI:  Amazing those numbers of deaths to my knowledge has never been reported by the main stream media press.  At this stage, with death numbers continuing growing, it is obvious this non-existence reporting is due to Big Pharma and actors in our government for additional controls over our citizens.  It is unfortunate that the vast majority of Americans have no idea that we are in the battle for our freedoms and in the case of those 3,544 individuals – [vaccine caused death] lost the battle with their very lives!

Those who think – [not the readers of this blog] – this will all blow over in due time are sadly mistaken.  These criminals will rollout different methods to nullify our freedoms and raid our Federal plus State level treasuries for their profit.  More is coming over the months and years ahead.  Items such as control of our food supply, and energy consumption by engineering cyber attacks creating blackouts in selected city metroplexes, social credit scores etc.  They will not stop unless as Americans we stop fighting among ourselves – [left-right, Republican-Democrat, black-white etc.] – stopping dead in their tracks the age old method of divide us by having our citizens arguing making it far easier to have us conquered and then enslaved!

By 2030 if this is not stopped by citizen action as a nation we will in shock as to our lost freedoms and standard of living decline for the vast majority!

As mentioned in last week’s newsletter, the rush to get a COVID vaccine seems to be slowing. About one third of Americans have received at least one shot, and the rest of us are saying "no," and some of us are saying, "hell no!" Some people appear to be baffled by those who adamantly refuse to get a COVID vaccine, or any vaccine for that matter. This series focuses on the many reasons why people refuse the shots.

Vaccine makers have no financial liability for harm caused by their products.

In 1982, four large drug companies, Merck, Wyeth, Lederle, and Connaught, threatened to stop marketing vaccines in the U.S. unless they were given immunity against damage claims due to injuries and deaths in vaccinated people. They had reason to be concerned - an article in the British Medical Journal reported that in analyzing 1000 cases referred to the National Childhood Encephalopathy Study, "A significant association was shown between serious neurological illness and pertussis vaccine…"[1]

An Institute of Medicine committee concluded that there was a causal relationship between the DPT vaccine and acute encephalopathy.[2]

In response, Congress passed the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986, which virtually eliminated all liability of vaccine makers for injuries or deaths resulting from the use of their products. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP) was created to pay for injuries and deaths, and a tax was instituted on every vaccine to finance damage awards. Claims for injury or death are filed with the United States Court of Federal Claims, and injured people and/or their families are charged a fee for filing.[3]

Most people do not know that the program exists, and the statute of limitations is shorter than for other court proceedings. Some cases drag on for years, and it is not unusual for claimants to be required to sign secrecy agreements in order to receive compensation. The payouts are generally miserably low, while the cost of caring for some injured people for life can be extraordinary.

In spite of these limitations, as of April 1 2021, the court has paid over $4.5 billion in damages to victims and their families.[4] During the last 26 years, during which both I and my associates have had contact with hundreds of vaccine-injured people and/or their families, I’ve met only two people who were aware of the NVICP within the time period required to make a claim. This means that it is highly likely that the total paid for damages to date is a small percentage of the actual damages incurred in the American population.

It’s hard to imagine that Americans would purchase other products if the U.S. government protected other manufacturers from liability the way that vaccine makers are protected. Take cars for example. How comfortable would you be purchasing a car marketed in the U.S. if there were no consequences for failing brakes, gas tanks that catch fire, and other mechanical failures that have occurred in the past? When discussing almost any product other than a vaccine, the prevailing point of view is that the ability to sue and the threat of financial liability is an incentive to make safe products and for the marketplace to reject those that are unsafe and/or unreliable. While the courts are not always fair, they provide some protection against unreasonable injury or death resulting from the use of a consumer product. The fact that all of the vaccine makers have been convicted of serious crimes (see previous newsletter articles on this topic) would seem to make this remedy for damages all the more important.

There is even less recourse for injuries as a result of the COVID vaccines.

The families of those who are injured or killed by the COVID vaccines are not eligible for compensation from NVICP if they receive the shots while the false emergency declaration is in place. According to an article in the New England Journal of Medicine the emergency declaration triggered the Public Readiness and Preparedness (PREP) Act, which in turn requires that all claims be filed under the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program (CICP). The terms for filing with the CICP are even worse. The statute of limitation is one year after the date of vaccination, the financial rewards are even smaller, and the burden of proof is even higher. Lost income recovery is limited to $50,000 per year, and there is no compensation for pain, suffering, and emotional distress.[5]

There are significant conflicts of interest at federal agencies governing vaccine approval.

The individuals and agencies that decide which vaccines are approved are highly conflicted. For example, in 2019, $2.6 billion out of the FDA’s $5.7 billion-dollar budget was paid for by drug and device makers through user fees.[6] It is a well-known fact that the FDA repays the drug companies for this generosity with fast approvals for questionable drugs.[7]

FDA advisors and committee members are equally conflicted. According to an article in Science, 40 of 107 physician advisors on FDA committees had "received more than $10,000 in post hoc earnings or research support from the makers of drugs that the panels voted to approve, or from competing firms." And out of those forty, 26 had received over $100,000 and six of those had been given $1 million or more in compensation. Additionally, most of the top earners had received other funding from the same drug companies in the year before they served as advisors.[8]

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), which most people think is an independent agency, has significant financial ties to drug companies too. A 1980 law allows the CDC to actually be in the vaccine business. The agency holds dozens of vaccine and vaccine technology-related patents, some in partnership with vaccine makers and universities.[9] [10] [11] [12] [13] [14] [15] [16] [17] [18] [19] [20] [21] [22] [23] [24] [25]

The CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) is the entity that votes to add a vaccine to the schedule. Many members of (ACIP) are paid advisors or researchers for vaccine makers, or share ownership of vaccine patents with these companies.[26]

Vaccines added to the schedule by ACIP are then covered by the Vaccines for Children Program (VFC), which is administered by the CDC. The CDC purchases billions of dollars of vaccines from the drug companies using taxpayer money and distributes them to state health departments for distribution to eligible children.[27]
