DYI:  Whether State or Federal prisons one method to maintain vigilance over the inmate population is with an intense [cameras everywhere] CCTV Network looped back to multi-screen TV’s monitored by the command and control center’s facility.  Any suspicious activity is immediately met with stop and searched for contraband such as drugs and especially anything that can be used as a weapon.  This extra step is alongside routine checkpoints within the facility that have metal detectors/scanners with systematic pat downs.  Every piece of snail mail is opened, searched and read by prison guards along with every telephone call – including conversation with a lawyer – is monitored and recorded.  When the prison routine is disturbed the warden will immediately order a lockdown.

Does any of this sound familiar?

Surveillance cameras are popping faster than mushrooms.  Stores, government buildings, street corners all alongside with police cars outfitted with license plate readers capable of reading and cataloging 1,800 plates per hour tied in with a GPS locator determining location.  Police roadblocks/checkpoints perform searches for contraband despite motorist objections is now almost routine.  The Fed’s – Border Patrol – has determined that the border extents 100 miles inland over the past 25 years permanent checkpoints.  The NSA [National Security Agency] stores, catalogues, every e-mail, phone call, cell or landline conversation in the U.S. [including many other countries.  The U.S. Post office when mail is being processed goes through an optical scanner that photographs the address that is stored in a database available to police and other government agencies.  The Fed’s – think of this as the warden – wanting to do a test run lockdown with the staged faked Boston bombing.

American Police State?

The only difference is bars on the doors and windows for the inmates after that everything else is the same.
