THIS DAY 83 YEARS AGO: FDR's Evil Executive Order Required Citizens to Turn in All Gold to the Government
DYI Comment: In America today the populous would never be so complicit as to obey such as order.
Also notice how FDR used an Executive Order, even then he knew that it would have been impossible to pass such a repulsive bill through Congress. All this did during that time was to extend the depression as business men became frighten to invest for fear of confiscation. This and other policies stagnated any possible recovery during the 1930's.
