Leading Senate Republicans are preparing to launch a coordinated and wide-ranging probe into Russia’s alleged meddling in the U.S. elections and its potential cyberthreats to the military, digging deep into what they view as corrosive interference in the nation’s institutions.
Such an aggressive approach puts them on a direct collision course with President-elect Donald Trump, who downplays the possibility Russia had any role in the November elections — arguing that a hack of the Democratic National Committee emails may have been perpetrated by “some guy in his home in New Jersey.” The fracture could become more prominent after Trump is inaugurated and begins setting foreign policy. He has already indicated the country should “get along” with Russia since the two nations have many common strategic goals.
DYI:  The global elites along with the military industrial complex are inching for a renewed cold war with Russia.  Along with its tactical and strategic push of capturing oil and gas reserves for the alliance's [U.S. U.K. NATO EU] global natural resource corporations.

There is an old saying at the State Department "Presidents come and go but we run the show."  How much of that Libyan / Syrian debacle was Clinton AND the career State Department employees; will know 20 plus years from now when the books are written by those retired.  That is the future - this is now.  It appears their strategic push is back on.  What tactical plays is the continued presence of the alliance in the Black Sea in an attempt to neuter Russian navy and air power.  Along with the continuing drive into the Stan's oil and gas reserves.  The long term grand play is for Russia to loose control of their political divisions east of the Ural Mountains forming new countries favorable to the alliance allowing in their global natural resource corporation.  Of course Russia is very aware of this and postured itself against these plays by the west.  In the long run Russia most likely will loose as their economy just doesn't have the level of GDP as the alliance.  RussiaN GDP is on par with Spain and Australia in a protracted cold war they would exhaust themselves.

If Trump is going to change things at the State Department he will have to put in someone who is tough as nails willing to do mass firings of employees to turn the direction away from the natural resource grab.  Along with fighting the global elites who are currently pushing Republicans back into a cold war mentality.  A tough fight indeed.
