More U.S. citizens are seeking refuge in Canada

A small but increasing number of Americans want refuge in Canada. In fact, the number of them requesting asylum north of the border more than doubled between 2015 and 2016, from 80 to 187, according to Canada Border Services Agency data. Most of them were denied. 

Some are trying to avoid going to prison, others refuse to fight in America’s wars. Now, immigration lawyers are predicting more U.S. citizens will attempt to flee for Canada — to escape President Trump’s America.

DYI:  187 people as compared to 324 MILLION Americans.  USA Today you call this earth shattering news?  By your own admission most of those are criminals attempting to avoid prison sentences by running to Canada.  Also stated to avoid America’s wars.  Well I have to point it out to you the military draft ended back in 1973.  This is nothing more than a hit piece aimed at Trump in a vain attempt to magnify 187 people into a huge mass migration going north to Canada seeking refuge.  USA Today you’re going to have to be more specific and cite examples.  Emotional hit pieces are no longer working.

This blogger voted for Trump yet I have some misgivings.  So far I’ve seen no traction in taking on the Medical Industrial Complex who collude, price fix, and form monopolies “jacking up” prices to the tune of 9%⁺ per year.  Replacing Obama Care (yes its crap) will not fix the underlining problem of cost.  Medicare is moving up in cost of around 400 billion per year on top of what is payed now.  This will blow a massive hole in the budget four years from now (in 10 yrs will crush the economy).  Around 20% of increased costs are from ageing Boomer’s the rest are from the illegal business acts of this industry. If Trump wants to be reelected he will have to take on this industry he better start soon.
